Meet your Walk Leaders
Walk Leader Program
The Walk Leader Program is the heart of DFW Black Moms Walking. It develops everyday moms into confident, community‑centered leaders through emotional intelligence training, self‑awareness work, Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA), and meaningful connection with other Black mothers.
Leadership Lab
Our Leadership Lab provides ongoing development for Walk Leaders. Through monthly micro‑trainings, coaching, and practical tools, leaders learn how to guide with clarity, compassion, and sustainable capacity. This space strengthens their confidence and supports their growth both on and off the trail.
Inner Work and Community Connection
Walk Leaders begin by reconnecting with themselves. They move out of isolation, build emotional awareness, and grow within a supportive sisterhood. This inner work becomes the foundation for how they show up in the community.
Leading Walks Across DFW
Once trained and supported, Walk Leaders host walks throughout the DFW area. They create safe spaces for conversation, movement, and mental wellness while checking in on moms in real time. Their presence helps women feel seen, supported, and connected.
Leaders Who Walk the Mission
Our Walk Leaders embody what community care looks like. They show up with empathy, consistency, and love. They build trust, create belonging, and lead in ways that reflect the heart of our mission.
